After many months of listening to your calls, reviewing the market place, and implementing Bi-Weekly Recycle service in our contract with the Town of Garner - we have decided to offer the same service to our Johnston County customers!
We began to roll out this new Recycle service in March 2010,
beginning with ALL of our TUESDAY and THURSDAY customers.

WEDNESDAY Routes: (McGees Place, Harvest Ridge, Fairground Point, Cross Point, Fairway Estates, Sheffield Woods, Cedar Cove, Lakewood, Dell Meadows, Walkers Ridge, Forest Oaks, Lassiter Place, South Plantation)
FRIDAY Routes: (Lockwood Forest, Ole Mill Village, Lee Farms, Tralee, Maplewood Run, Glad Acres, Blaze Ridge, Walkers Ridge 2, Middle Creek Landing, Gin Branch Estates, Ogburn Acres)
We are going to provide you with a Brand NEW Go GREEN 64 gallon container with a lid and wheels. You roll it to the curb every other week on your regular collection day ! The beauty of our new Single Stream System, is that we will collect ALL of your Recyclables the same way we collect your garbage. Easy for you, easy for us - NO Sorting is required! All you have to do is rinse the food off your recyclables and toss them loose (NO plastic bags) into your new Go Green container. We will collect everything every other week and deliver the material to Paper Stock Dealers (Sonoco Corp) in Raleigh NC for sorting, processing, and delivery for re-use.
Look at everything that can be Recycled and All Star will accept:
- newspaper and all ad inserts
- magazines
- catalogs
- white & office paper, including junk mail
- corrugated cardboard pieces and boxes
- paperboard, chipboard, and paper tubes (cereal boxes)
- steel and Bi-metal food cans and lids
- aluminum beverage cans
- aluminum foil and trays (must be completely free and clean of food debris)
- plastic bottles (Narrow neck, screw-top, milk jugs, colored bottles, anything with a "1" or "2" on bottom. - It is now against the law to throw any of these plastic bottles into any NC landfill)
- plastic beverage rings and tops
- glass food and beverage containers (please rinse out!) clear, green, or brown
- gable top cartons
- aseptic (drink) boxes
Items that are NOT accepted:
Styrofoam Blocks or peanuts
Electronics
Food Trays
Ceramics
mirrors
wood (NO Furniture)
Medical Waste
Pizza Boxes
Plastic Bags
